Medical-grade plasma energy treats the spot at the surface, then your skin does the rest. Three phases, about three weeks, and the spot is gone.
Plasma targets the spot
The precision tip delivers plasma energy directly onto the blemish, carbonizing the surface tissue without touching the skin around it. About 5 minutes per spot.
Natural healing
A small protective scab forms and falls off on its own between Day 3 and Day 7. No picking, no scrubbing. Your skin heals underneath.
Clear skin appears
By Week 2 to Week 3 the treated area reveals smooth, clear skin. For confirmed benign spots, no follow-up sessions needed.
Your Step-by-Step Guide
Updated for the 9-setting device. Follow these six steps in order for the safest, cleanest result. Take your time on your first spot.
Prep your skin
Cleanse the area with a gentle, non-irritating cleanser to remove dirt, oil, and makeup. Pat dry with a clean towel. If you are using numbing cream, apply a thin layer now and leave it 20 to 30 minutes, then wipe it off and dry the area again.
Uses: Cleanser + Numbing Cream (optional)Dial in your power setting
Your pen has 9 adjustable settings. Start low and work up. A tiny milia needs a gentle setting, a thicker sebaceous hyperplasia bump needs more. Match the intensity to the spot, and when in doubt, go lower. See the settings guide below.
9 power levels. Start low.Test, then treat
Test the pen on a small, less visible patch of skin first to check comfort. Then treat the spot with brief, precise, light touches. Do not press hard. Let the tip lightly touch the skin. Short taps prevent over-treatment. Keep the tip clean before and between spots.
Extra care near the eyes and mouthProtect the spot
Immediately after treating, apply a healing patch over the spot. It soothes the skin, keeps it clean, and stops you from picking while the small scab forms over the next few days.
Uses: Healing Patches · Day 0 to Day 7Heal and repair
Let the scab fall off on its own between Day 3 and Day 7. Never force it. Once it is gone, start the Skin Therapy Recovery Cream with collagen, retinol, and hyaluronic acid, morning and night on clean, dry skin, to hydrate and support new skin.
Uses: Recovery Cream · Day 3-7 onwardShield your results
Apply SPF 50 daily from Week 2 onward and keep it in your routine. Freshly healed skin burns and discolors easily, so sun protection is what keeps your result even and clear for the long run.
Uses: SPF 50 · Week 2-3 onward, ongoingYour Healing Timeline
Treatment day
A tiny scab forms over the treated spot. Apply a healing patch. Mild redness is normal.
Scab falls off
The protective scab lifts on its own. Do not pick. Start the Recovery Cream once it is gone.
Clear skin
Smooth, even skin appears. Keep SPF 50 on the area daily to protect the fresh skin.
Power Settings Guide
Nine levels let you match the treatment to the spot. This is a starting point, not a rule. Always start lower than you think and step up only if needed.
| Spot type | Start around | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Milia (small white bumps) | Low | Delicate and shallow. A gentle setting is enough. |
| Skin tags (small, stalked) | Low to mid | Thin tissue. Light taps clear them cleanly. |
| Cherry angiomas (red dots) | Low to mid | Surface vascular spots. Precision over power. |
| Age spots and sun spots | Mid | Flat pigment. Even, controlled contact. |
| Sebaceous hyperplasia (raised bumps) | Mid to high | Thicker, deeper tissue may need more energy. |
| Delicate areas (near eyes, lips) | Lowest | Thin skin. Extra caution and the gentlest setting. |

A few safety basics
- The Plasma Pen is for confirmed, benign, cosmetic spots only. If a spot changes in color, size, or border, bleeds on its own, or looks unusual, see a licensed professional first.
- If you have a mole or any growth you are not sure about, do not treat it. A dermatologist should confirm it is benign in person before any at-home treatment.
- Never use the pen on open wounds, infected skin, or areas with active acne or inflammation.
- Always patch-test a small, discreet area first, and keep the tip clean to prevent infection.
- Stop and contact support@ocuralife.com if you notice increased redness, swelling, or pain.
